Local Flint Doctor Opening New Clinic
It is finally time to announce that I am on the journey to start my own clinic!!!
I love medicine and it is time to be the community doctor I dreamed of. Flint deserves this new clinic and I can not express how thankful I am for the love and encouragement I received during this journey.
For those that don’t know me, I am Dr Aisha Harris and I am a Family Medicine doctor who was born and raised in Flint. I have been practicing medicine, seeing adults and children, in Flint since 2020.
I went to Georgetown University for medical school and trained in Chicago to become a family doctor. I am the creator of BLK FAM DOC an outreach platform and have been focused on Flint’s health through my patient care and the Flint Health Hub.
After years of challenges working in our current health system I felt like it was time for a change. I felt like myself and my patients wanted something different than the traditional primary care experience.
So I am very happy to announce that I have resigned from my previous job and I am opening Flint’s first Direct Primary Care clinic. Coming in January 2023 I will be opening Harris Family Health just north of Downtown Flint in the UM Flint Northbank Center at 432 N Saginaw St!!
This will give me an opportunity to continue to work and live in Flint and provide residents with the primary care they deserve without the barriers and hassles that surround health care today. The health system can be frustrating with not feeling heard, having delayed and rushed appointments, or surprise bills and medical debt. I want to know your story and help you through your health journey.
