What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct primary care (DPC) provides the same services as traditional primary care for a flat monthly fee and does not accept insurance.

Founder
Dr Aisha Harris, MD
Dr. Aisha Harris is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician committed to compassionate, patient-centered care. A Flint, Michigan native, she earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
She specializes in preventive care, chronic disease management, mental health, and minority health. In addition to her practice, Dr. Harris is a professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and chairs the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians advocacy committee. She is also active in the National Medical Association and the Committee to Protect Health Care. Passionate about health education and advocacy, she empowers patients with the knowledge and tools to lead healthier lives.

Direct primary care is a membership based primary care service that does not bill insurance but provides comprehensive and affordable care for patients and focuses on quality care. We do not take health insurance and do not bill health insurance.

The membership covers primary care services, preventative screenings, sick or acute care visits, simple procedures, chronic care management, and access to discounted medications, labs, and imaging services.

No. We do not take health insurance and do not bill health insurance. We provide covered primary care services through the membership and special discounted pricing for medications and labs. Individuals are welcome to use their health insurance outside of Harris Family Health, if applicable. Dr Harris is out of network for health insurances.

Yes, for other services. It is recommended that you still have health insurance or a health share plan to cover hospital visits, emergency room visits, and surgeries. Direct primary care is not health insurance and only provides primary care services.

You can start your membership by completing the enrollment form here. You will then be emailed a membership invitation to review the membership agreement and pay the first membership fee. Once enrollment is complete you will receive information on making a new patient appointment. Monthly membership payments will start being charged to your payment method on file the next month per the agreement.

Yes. Memberships can be cancelled at anytime with a 30 day notice but a re-enrollment fee may be charge when you return. Membership services will immediately end at cancellation and membership fees are non-refundable. Records can be forwarded as desired and re-enrollment fees will apply if applicable.
